After Foam Solution Generate, it transmits through piping network up to fire source. In this stage, foam solution must be aspirated by air and expanded to predicted expansion ratio (Low expansion, Medium expansion or High expansion) and then discharge on fire. This will be done by Foam discharge outlet devices.
Considering the Application and expansion ratio there is several type of foam Discharge outlet devices:
Foam maker
1- Foam maker: use in low expansion foam system to protect rim seal of floating roof tanks, Dike Area.
Foam Chamber
2- Foam Chamber: use in low expansion foam system to protect Fixed Roof or covered floating roof tanks.
High Back Pressure
3- High Back Pressure Foam Generator: use in low expansion foam system to protect Fixed-roof Storage tank in subsurface Application.
High expansion
4- High expansion foam generator: use in high expansion foam system to protect paint or chemical warehouses, Aircraft shelters or etc.
Foam Pourer
5- Foam Pourer or Deflector: use in low expansion foam system in combination with foam maker or foam chamber (item-1, item-2) to deflect expanded foam to expected point of release.
